Knock 'em dead, Rich! Remember if you're in Canadian water and you accidentally get a sturgeon that it must be released without delay - no measuring; no posing for pics. Lake sturgeon are closed year round in much of Ontario, including Zone 19. Screen grabs from video and pics taken by someone else while you release the fish are not a violation of the regs. Don't want to see you get penalized or DQed after you worked so hard to make it to LSC.

Thanks for tips. I noticed you have the old switches at the bow on your Caymas. I have a CX21 Pro & my switches were acting up on bow panel. Took it to my dealer & he said the old switch panels have had issues so Caymas will replace under warranty with the new switch panel design at the bow & console as they are aware of the old panel issues. Picking mine up next week & dealer service manager said he has never had an issue with the new design.

The scaling tip for distance and depth is a cool pointer.

The XP744C works great as a pitching rod 1/2-3/4oz. The 3/4oz will load the tip a little, but once you get in tune with the rod, it works great and it loads perfect when you lean into them. It has plenty of backbone anywhere in the country.

The compass does not work without buying a heading sensor. No way the Livescope knows which way the bow is pointing. Also the View should always be on manual and you choose for Forward, Down, or Perspective.

Which designed power battery are you using for Livescope?

Man it’s funny how different people like theirs set up. I like mine a bit quieter, as I don’t mind filtering out a few baitfish and still being able to see bigger fish. I also love blue, I’ve found it’s a great palette for dealing with glare. Just like anything else fishing, requires time on the water to figure out what works for you!

Brother I hope these comments don’t ACTUALLY bug you 😂. I enjoy a good back and forth with these people. 99.9% of them are confidently speaking on something they don’t know or understand. We fish thousands of docks in our lifetime. This lady doesn’t deserve special treatment. In fact, she probably could use a re-education on the subject. Also, it cracks me up what people consider “fishing close.” I remember some kayakers went by me one time in a canal. I waited till they passed and casted maybe 20’ behind the last one. The lady spun around and asked if that was me. I said “Don’t you worry mam, I can put this thing on a dime. Not gonna come close to you.” There was some muttering and they paddled on, but I mean, that was all that needed to be said IMO. No need for a speech or quips like this lady had for ya. You said your peace, go water your flowers lady. 🎣

Those of us who have learned bass behavior and migrations over the years, and the ones who have found the bass on a screen and know how to use and find a couple of baits that will work. The second is easier for the guys that grew up on a phone and computer. It’s not as easy, but can and must be learned by the old guys. It goes against nature and honesty for the old guys.
